Who Can Be Nominated/Apply?
Are you aged between 15-35 years old? Are you an entrepreneur in agriculture or agribusiness in OYA’s 6 pilot countries? Despite the challenges that you may face such as economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, lack of access to knowledge and education, finance, technology, and other resources, are you resilient and determined to further your education, knowledge and skills in agriculture and agribusiness? Do you have a genuine desire and interest in sharing your learned skills and insights with your peers? Do you wish to make a sustainable impact in your local community? If your answers are yes, then apply for the IMPACT XChamp award.
Criteria for nomination/application
- Must be between the ages of 15-35 Years.
- Must be in either of the six countries (Zambia, Cabo Verde, Ghana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tunisia and Kenya).
- Must have access to the internet.
- Must have basic writing and reading skills *English or French.
- Students are encouraged to apply.
- Must be active in any agriculture or agribusiness sub sector.
- Must have track records of participating in community engagements.
- Self-nomination or application is acceptable with sufficient documentation.
*Note: Applicants below the age of 18 should submit a consent letter from the parent/guardian*
How to nominate/apply
- Complete the online application/nomination form.(incomplete application will not be accepted)
- If you are nominating someone else, your nominee should fill out the part of the application in which they are asked to indicate their relevant competence and personal motivation for applying and attach supporting information (testimonials, video, photos, picture essay, etc.).
- Sign, date and agree to the awards terms and conditions before submitting the form online.
