BIO

Chola Chilufya Lungu is a Social Entrepreneur/ Independent Communications Consultant who passionately and creatively designs communication strategies that promote efficient and effective ways of communicating. She is a 2014 Mandela Washington Fellow, who was trained at University of Texas in Austin, USA, in Business Entrepreneurship and Leadership. Chola holds a BA in Politics & Sociology from Rhodes University, South Africa and has a Certificate in Diplomatic Practice, Protocol and Public Relations from Zambia Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies. For the last 10 years Chola has developed communication strategies for cooperates, NGOs and Ministry of Gender. She is highly experienced in managing stakeholder relations, leading community events, diplomatic liaisons, executive support and events management. Chola thoroughly understands the nuances of multicultural work environments. She is a creative, enterprising and versatile individual who combines her imaginative and artistic abilities with an organised and multicultural approach. Chola recently published a children’s book which is an introduction to financial and environmental issues. Chola has also produced children’s educational picture cards in Zambian local languages. Chola volunteers at Njira, an organisation that specialises in providing support and training to survivors of gender based violence in fashion & design.
